Shannon is the Chief Campaigns Officer of Washington Environmental Council and Washington Conservation Voters and leads the organizations’ campaign and accountability strategies. She has over a decade of electoral and legislative campaign experience and has been with WCV since 2008, becoming President in 2014. Shannon has been a leader in building strategic partnerships with labor, environmental, business, and people of color-led organizations to advance electoral and environmental policy goals, most notably serving on the Governance Board for the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy. In addition, as President, Shannon has helped grow WCV’s Political Action Committee (PAC) to one of the largest in the state. Before becoming WCV President, she managed WCV’s coordinated effort to first elect Governor Jay Inslee in 2012 and WCV’s nationally recognized victory to elect an anti-coal majority to the Whatcom County Council in 2013. Shannon started her career as an organizer and brings that lens to her work today. Shannon has a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Raised in Oregon and now a Washingtonian for over fifteen years, she loves the Pacific Northwest and spends as much time as she can outdoors, especially hiking with her husband Ben and dog Milo.
