Below are a few highlights of recent awards WEC has received as a result of our effective work.
2008 - WEC's Mo McBroom wins award for our leadership to help develop and pass the 2008 Local Farms - Healthy Kids Act.
2007 - WEC helps negotiate successful agreement with farmers near Ellensburg to restore a creek and maintain water irrigation needs for farmers.
2006 - WEC gains international attention as one of the leaders behind the landmark Electronics Recycling legislation of 2006. Check out The Seattle Times editorial praising our work.
2005 - WEC is one of several winners of the Washington Conservation Voters "Environmental Excellence Award" for our role on the Green Building Coalition
2005 - WEC wins "Environmental Advocate of the Year Award" - Seattle Weekly
2004 - WEC wins Earth Share Washington Membership Participation Award
2003 - WEC receives "Seventh Generation Legacy Leadership Award" by Northwest Native American Tribes at the Salmon Homecoming.
2002 - Recognized by the Hood Canal Coordinating Council with award for our work to protect Hood Canal.
