2008, one of the biggest election years of our lifetimes, provided our staff and volunteers opportunities to connect with environmental voters in new and exciting ways.
- VOTE YES on Proposition 1 – Move Seattle Forward
- Learn more about Proposition 1 on this November’s ballot. Prop 1 is an opportunity to dramatically improve transportation infrastructure. A coalition of neighborhoods, businesses, and transit advocates have organized to support Seattle’s Proposition 1 and ensure Seattle has a transportation system that can support our economic future and quality of life.

- Activating a new generation of environmental voters
- Washington Environmental Council is building on our past partnership with El Centro de la Raza to conduct a non-partisan get-out-the-vote campaign to encourage Latino voters to cast ballots this November. This partnership – WEC’s voter contact expertise and El Centro de la Raza’s strong community leadership – has the potential to activate and engage a new generation of environmental voters.

- Learn more about the threat Initiative 1125 poses to smart transportation for Washington. I-1125 is an attempt to halt or stall major transportation mobility projects with significant consequences for Washington.
