May 21st  was a great day for Washington and the entire nation. The Environmental Protection Agency was in Seattle hosting a hearing on the threat to public health posed by climate change. And what a response they got. People came from across the region to say we’re ready for action on climate change.

Outside the hearing, two thousand people gathered for a noontime rally - the energy in the air was electrifying as we listened to faith, business, and student leaders speak in support of reducing global warming pollution.

This is an exciting and landmark action. WEC was honored to stand with the Governor as she signed the executive order and to have her specifically recognize WEC's and our partners' efforts to address climate change.
