Meet WEC's 2011 Summmer Interns

Anna BodiAnna Bodi

Anna sees her communications and outreach internship as a chance to get involved in public service for the environment while learning about communications and development for a non-profit. Interning for the environmental organization makes sense to the Claremont McKenna College Literature and Media Studies major given WEC’s drive to clean up our water. As a kayaker, Anna harbors a deep respect for Pacific Northwest waterways and is passionate about preserving and restoring water quality in her home Evergreen State. Some of her other interests include flute playing and improvisational acting.

Shelby TaylorShelby Taylor

Shelby grew up in sunny San Diego, California.  She recently graduated from University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.  Shelby is excited to have the opportunity to connect her major and passion for conservation efforts with non-profit work at WEC. A self-proclaimed “animal nut,” Shelby is particularly interested in environmental degradation and marine pollution.  One of her favorite spots in the Northwest is Point Defiance Park, a place she fondly calls her “green space getaway.”  In her free time, Shelby can be found writing, hiking, or working on her photography.
