Climate change hits women in poor countries especially hard, as they plant and grow food, collect water, gather firewood, and nurture their children. This forum, titled “Connecting Around the World,” will explain the effects of climate change on these women, connect the dots between our lives and theirs, and explore actions we can take to help improve their lives. Photographer and author Phil Borges (Women Empowered) will launch the discussion, along with Sara Curran and Lucy Jarosz of the UW and Jessie Dye, Earth Ministry Program. Presented by the League of Women Voters of Seattle’s International Relations Committee.
Admission is free; no tickets required.
