Bullitt Foundation's Cascadia Center for Sustainable Design and Construction will be the the greenest, most energy efficient commercial building in the world, firmly planting Seattle at the forefront of green building movement.
Seeking Living Building certification, a solar array will generate as much energy each year in cloudy Seattle as the 6-story building uses. Using no fossil fuels and containing no parking garage, it will be carbon neutral. In addition, the Cascadia Center will collect rainwater falling on the roof and store it in a 50,000 gallon cistern, purify it, and use it throughout the building.
And these features are just the tip of the green iceberg.
