being debated that week. We send the Hot List to legislators, staffers
and members of the media. Because it has input from all the key environmental groups and is because it is quick and easy to read, the Hot List is a helpful and powerful tool for engaging legislators.

The environmental community still supports moving forward with the bill to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (formerly known as the Cap and Invest Priority), and urges the House to improve and strengthen this bill from its current form so that it will actually reduce emissions. Updates on Modifying the Energy Independence Act, and Efficiency First are also included in this week's Hot List.
